Power drills are one tool that DIY folk cant do with out ,there are plenty of drills on the market from power drills that you have to use with power from a socket and battery drills.
What you have to decide when buying a power drill is what you are going to use it for ,if it is just to drill a few holes to fix lets say fixtures to a dry lined wall then all you need is a cheep battery drill that you will use perhaps once or twice a year .
But if you are using one for more exacting work then i would advice you buy a more expensive drill and one that you have to plug into a power socket. You can buy a more expensive battery drill that will do the job but if the battery dies the death that all battery’s do then it is a lot more expensive to buy a replacement battery ,i actually have three drills that i use for work two are battery and one that is a 110 drill that runs of a 110 transformer for safety reasons .

Now we come to using power drills what you must learn is what ever power drill that you use it as the potential to harm you ,you may ask i can understand that a drill that you plug into a socket will harm me but how will a battery drill harm me ,well i will explain ,when using any drill no matter how powerful if you don’t grip it in the right place it will twist and spin out of control ,this is the one thing that will do the most damage to you other than electrifying you ,so when drilling you grip the Handel and hand grip where the trigger is and press the trigger gently ,you will find that doing this you will have total control on the drill .
All ways use safety goggles or glasses and always use some sort of safety gloves there are quite decent ones on the market at the moment from the heavy safety gloves to light gloves that give you total control over feeling use them when using your drill ,and really that is all you need to know .
