Joking around calling your opponents names like donk, fish, etc are acceptable in a friendly manner. Every poker player deserves respect, even if they are bad. An unacceptable way to act at the table is to be abusive to your fellow players. People choose to play the way they want right or wrong is not up to you to decide. There is no excuse for being rude at a table, and blaming the stress at the table is not a good enough excuse. Now there is nothing wrong with having fun with your buddies and friends. But belittling someone you don’t know is uncalled for and not necessary.
Another example of bad manners at a poker table is to celebrate a big win by bragging. Try to celebrate it on the inside or maybe with a little yes and an apology to your opponent. Always at all times show your opponents respect and take pride in what you do. This will make you seem like a good person and help you succeed further in life.
